Specifications include, but are not limited to: Technical Consulting Service for the Green Business Program. This task includes conducting onsite assessments at businesses enrolled in the SFGBP to provide technical support on proper implementation of green business practices and verification of proper implementation of program standards. Technical Support may include: • Reviewing the quality of waste diversion (recycling and composting) programs at the business facility. • Providing input on ways to increase waste diversion to meet program standards. • Providing resources on environmentally preferable products. • Evaluating the efficiencies of fixtures, such as toilets, and providing rebate information and resources to help businesses choose water efficient fixtures. • Evaluating the efficiency of energy consuming equipment, such as lighting, computers and HVAC equipment, to determine if they meet program standards. • Conducting a basic evaluation of the chemical products used by the business, to determine if they qualify as “low toxic”.
