To secure pest control related services for the application of a contact insecticide, Carbaryl, to the main stem and large lateral branches (>5" dia.) of 1,001 individual coast live oak (Quercus agrifolia) trees greater than 13.6 inches in diameter at breast height (dbh) in 2026 and 2027. Individual trees have been pre-identified by Forest Service personnel and are designated for spraying with metal tags and colored flagging. Designated trees are spread across 8 administrative and developed recreation sites located adjacent to the Ortega Hwy (SR-74), west of Lake Elsinore on the Trabuco Ranger District of the Cleveland National Forest in Eastern Orange and Western Riverside Counties, CA.
Work is expected to occur between April 1 and August 1 annually, dependent on the presence of surface water at each site.
