Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Santa Clara Valley Water District (District) is soliciting proposals from consulting firms to conduct a comprehensive training needs analysis (District wide). This training needs analysis will: (1) Identify the knowledge, skill and abilities that are needed by employees to perform their jobs (2) Identify the required performance, measure the actual performance, and define the need (3) Determine the cause of the gaps between what is required (job standards) and what exists (4) Determine if it is a training issue or not (5) Identify trends of missing skills within job classifications that will lead to curriculum development (6) Identify if and what trainings are currently used to obtain the necessary skills (7) Identify potential or possible barriers to achieving the desired outcome (requirements needed) (8) Identify the methodology/ or approach to training delivery for identified development opportunities (9) Identify the need for well-targeted training areas.
