The Sun City Domestic Water Treatment Plant (DWTP) Project consists of one new treatment plant and related facilities to treat three existing domestic water production wells and one new domestic water production well for Chromium-6. The intent of this Project is to convey raw groundwater to the treatment site to then undergo Reduction-Coagulation-Filtration (RCF) treatment in order to reduce the levels of Chromium-6 sufficiently below the state mandated Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) and provide supply for CVWD’s domestic water system in the Sun City pressure zone. Engineering services for the Sun City DWTP Project shall include: • providing Project Administration, Management, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control; • performing pilot testing of the proposed treatment process; • preparing Basis of Design Technical Memorandum; • preparing design plans and specifications for the required DWTP faciltiies (treatment facility, new well, domestic water pipelines, and sewer main pipeline and connections); • performing surveying, right-of-way review, and obtaining permits; • performing utility research and utility potholing; • performing Geotechnical Investigation; • preparing environmental documents for all required facilities (including second future on-site well at the DWTP site); • providing communication and public outreach; • preparing complete construction documents for bidding; • providing bid phase services
