The County of Sacramento, Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health (SCPH) is seeking qualified mental health centers and community-based organizations (CBOs) that can facilitate listening sessions and surveys within the diverse communities that they serve, followed up by youth suicide prevention interventions informed by findings and evaluating metrics such as “overall happiness, support systems, ability to seek help, etc.” Agencies would collaborate with SCPH on evaluation efforts. SCPH will request a variety of campaigns and projects related to suicide prevention among diverse youth and young adults (aged 26 & under) over the term of the resulting contract. This may include activities such as development of media, creation and distribution of culturally appropriate educational materials and trainings and/or implementation of new protocols/resources aimed at improving local mental health systems. The awarded contractor must commit a team of experienced professionals to the account who have experience in: outreaching to and engaging with Sacramento’s multicultural and diverse populations, knowledge of public health topics, and experience in suicide prevention.
