Phase 2A work: Work consists of site demolition, hazardous materials abatement and selective site utility work to prepare for building construction. This includes, but not limited to, site demolition of existing building and various site features, shoring, excavation and rough grading. Phase 2B work: The project consists of a nineteen-story building. The building is a type I-A, concrete framed building, with post-tensioned reinforced concrete floor slabs, exterior prefabricated facade panels, and interior light gage framing. The apartments are generally four bedroom / two bathroom, with space to house eight undergraduate students. The building also has a study lounge at the ground floor and level two with an adjoining terrace at level two. Support spaces including trash, housekeeping, laundry facility and utility spaces are primarily located at the ground floor Pedestrian access will be primarily from levering avenue with a secondary access at Weyburn place at level four. A new service driveway is located at the southeast corner of the site off Levering Avenue, this will be exclusively for maintenance and service vehicles.
