The scope of work contained within this RFP summarizes the Palm Springs Unified School District’s (District) expectations for delivery of Student Transportation Services to be performed in accordance with the terms of this RFP document. Proposals shall provide means for the District to effectively evaluate the vendor’s capabilities to meet or exceed District requirements. The emphasis of your proposal should be on completeness and clarity of proposal content. The Vendor shall furnish, operate, and maintain school buses for the transportation of pupils and other persons at such times and places specified by the District. Such transportation may be within or outside the District boundaries and on any day of the week during the term of the contract. In addition, the vendor must provide services as needed by the District for summer school, extended school year (ESY), Expanded Learning programs, after-school activities, evening or weekend events, and field trips, including overnight trips. There are approximately 181 school days per year that require service, not including summer and Expanded Learning programs (Subject to change yearly based on District service needs).
