The selected vendor will be tasked to design and develop a new state-of-the-art Student Information System (SIS) with the latest framework and technology stack for superior performance and robust security, and migrate current MiSiS data to the new system. The new system should be cloud-agnostic with minimal changes required to switch between different cloud hosting platform and vendor. With increasing national interest in robust, flexible SIS solutions, LAUSD seeks to commercialize and license its SIS and scale its capabilities to serve other school districts. The vendor will implement the new SIS in a multi-tenant Software as a Service (SaaS) subscription-based system, host, maintain, and commercialize the new SIS system to other educational institutions, and develop a revenue-sharing agreement with LAUSD.
