- Removal of Existing Sidewalks, Driveway Approaches, Ramps, Curbs and Gutters: Removing old, damaged or hazardous sections of sidewalks, driveway approaches, ramps, curbs and gutters. Any damage by the Contractor to adjacent curbs, sidewalks, lawn areas, shrubs, etc., must be repaired or replaced by the Contractor at its own expense, as nearly as practical to their original condition, to the satisfaction of the City. - Concrete Repair and Replacement: Pouring new concrete, ensuring proper leveling and addressing any drainage issues. - Float Finish: Do not add water to concrete surfaces during finishing operations. Begin the second floating operation when bleed-water sheen has disappeared and concrete surface has stiffened sufficiently to permit operations. Float surface with power-driven floats, or by hand floating if area is small or inaccessible to power units. Finish surfaces to true planes. Cut down high spots and fill low spots. Refloat surface immediately to uniform granular texture.
