The County of San Mateo (County) is seeking proposals for non-aeronautical use, including vehicle or equipment storage, on a six and 38/100 (6.38) acre unimproved parcel adjacent to the San Carlos Airport. The subject parcel, Assessor’s Parcel Number 095-220-140, is an unimproved lot located adjacent to the San Carlos Airport, providing a unique opportunity for temporary uses. The lot is separated from the airfield by Holly Street, with no direct access to the airfield itself. Given the short-term nature of the lease, the County will permit only non-permanent structures on the 6.38 acre parcel. The parcel is ideal for non-permanent uses such as equipment storage or vehicle parking, and offers proximity to highway 101. The parcel has one manual gate along Shoreway Road. An existing fence delineates the leasable area as depicted in Exhibit A, Site Map. The appraised value of the parcel is $0.32 per square foot. Prospective lessees must ensure all proposed uses comply with Airport land use requirements as well as local zoning ordinances and environmental regulations.
