Project tasks shall include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following described below. If the firm believes additional tasks are warranted, they must be clearly identified in the firm’s proposal. The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, and travel necessary to complete the tasks outlined below. State Legislative Advocacy Consultant will provide comprehensive state legislative advocacy services to advance the City’s policy priorities and protect its interests. Work may include assisting with the development and maintenance of the City’s legislative agenda and policy platform; monitoring and analyzing state, regional and local policy issues; developing advocacy materials; and representing the City’s interests before the State Legislature, executive branch agencies, and other key stakeholders. The consultant will maintain strong working relationships with legislators and agency officials, coordination with other jurisdictions and associations with aligned goals, and provide regular communication, updates, and reports to the City. State and Federal Grant Writing Services The consultant will provide ongoing support in identifying, developing, and submitting competitive grant applications at the state, federal, and foundation levels. Services may include researching and tracking funding opportunities, assisting in the preparation of proposals and required materials, coordinating with City staff and legislative advocates to align funding strategies with City priorities, and providing periodic updates and training to enhance staff capacity.
