The County of Stanislaus (County) is seeking qualified and experienced Technical Assistance Providers for Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to provide services on behalf of the County’s Workforce Development Department. In alignment with its Small Business Strategy and Implementation Plan, Stanislaus County is committed to bolstering its small business ecosystem. This plan, informed by the Stanislaus 2030 Small Business Collaborative, which includes entrepreneurs, local government representatives, nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, and national experts, aims to create a more accessible and business-friendly environment. Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) in Stanislaus County play a critical role in providing flexible and alternative capital to small businesses, particularly those in underserved markets. However, many CDFIs face operational, strategic, and financial constraints that limit their ability to scale their lending activities and expand access to capital for small businesses. Particularly for Stanislaus County, there are a limited number of new and emerging CDFIs who are seeking technical assistance (TA) to expand their lending and services to small businesses in the region. Stanislaus County seeks to strengthen the local CDFI ecosystem by: ● Enhancing operational capacity and technical assistance ● Improving access to strategic funding and capital reserves ● Equipping CDFIs with the infrastructure and tools needed to better serve small businesses This initiative will provide targeted training, workshops, and strategic financial support to ensure that CDFIs in Stanislaus County can increase lending volume, expand financial products, and enhance long-term sustainability.
