The City of Redlands seeks a qualified contractor to provide as-needed athletic field preparation and striping services for youth soccer, baseball, and football fields to ensure a ready for safe play. Services will be performed at City-maintained parks and select Redlands Unified School District facilities as scheduled. Contractor will be provided with the schedule upon issuance of Purchase Order. Services needed will vary by season and demand from user groups. Contractor must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience maintaining and striping sports fields of similar size and scope. Contractor personnel must wear identifiable attire clearly indicating their role as a service provider while on-site. Contractor must demonstrate the capability to provide reliable, timely, and professional services to support weekend sports schedules. The awarded contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, vehicles, materials, and supplies necessary to complete field preparation and striping services. Services include but are not limited to: • Field Prep and Marking o Leveling and dragging of baseball/softball infields o Compacting and leveling of batter’s boxes and pitcher’s mounds o Painting of lines for football, soccer, and baseball outfields. o Chalking of infield lines, batter’s boxes, etc. for baseball / softball fields. • Requirements: o Fields must be striped and game-ready no less than four (4) hours prior to the first scheduled game of the day. o Services may be required on Saturdays and Sundays, depending upon scheduled games. o Striping must be performed in accordance with league standards (e.g., US Youth Soccer, Little League, NFL Flag) for dimensions and line markings. o Contractor shall ensure striping is clean, visible, and properly aligned with existing field layouts. o Contractor is responsible for any necessary layout adjustments before applying striping. • Materials & Equipment o Contractor shall provide all paint, striping equipment, vehicles, fuel, and any other necessary materials. o Only non-toxic, environmentally safe, water-based athletic field paint may be used. o All costs, including labor, materials, fuel fees, and equipment usage, must be included in the bid price. • Scheduling & Coordination o Contractor will receive field use schedules in advance for planning. o All striping must be completed within the required timeframe before games. o Contractor shall maintain open communication with the City’s designated representative to address scheduling changes, weather delays, or field condition issues. o Contractor shall coordinate with city staff to perform work on RUSD property during school hours • Performance Standards o Lines must be clearly visible, straight, and of uniform thickness.
