Specifications include, but are not limited to: Nevada County Office of Emergency Services is soliciting sealed Best Value Invitations for Bids (IFB) from qualified/licensed Earthwork, Debris Removal and Snow Removal Contractors to provide emergency snow removal, tree and vegetation debris removal services for winterstorm damage mitigation as needed throughout Nevada County. Projects may occur during the fall, winter and early spring. Project areas may include work along County public roads and rights of ways, public parking areas and around County buildings and private roads if needed to support life and safety. Snow removal for the Grass Valley, Nevada City and possibly Truckee areas which require clearing are parking lots, roadways, public building entrances including ADA ramps and stairways. This work includes hand shoveling, small snow removal equipment (such as skid steers and walk behind snow throwers) and some heavy equipment (such as loaders, graders and backhoes.)
