Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of Simi Valley (City) is requesting proposals for professional design services to produce construction documents for the installation and programming of security systems on various City facilities. Services will also include the preparation of a bid package to seek construction bids, review of the construction bids received, and construction administration and project close-out. The City will contract separately for construction of the project. PROPOSED PROJECT The City is seeking proposals from qualified security systems consultants to design security systems for City facilities and prepare plans and specifications to allow the City to bid the construction of the designed security systems. City facilities included are Simi Valley City Hall (43,780 Sq. Ft.), Simi Valley Police Department (50,000 sq. ft.), City Transit Maintenance and Administrative Buildings (12,720 sq. ft.), Public Services Center (18,150 sq. ft.), Wastewater Treatment facility (18,175 sq. ft.), Simi Valley Public Library (32,000 sq. ft.), and Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center (12,105 sq. ft.). Security systems include access control systems, closed-circuit camera monitoring, and motion sensors.
