a) Weekly foot surveys (from January 1 through October 31) of all suitable or marginally suitable habitat for WSP and CLT; b) Record location of nests and scrapes for WSP, CLT or other nesting shorebirds; c) GPS mapping of nest locations using the ESRI Field Maps application, Point Blue data collection protocol provided by State Parks, and a sub-meter accuracy GPS unit (receiver/antenna); d) Recording of observed band combinations, predator information, nest disturbances/damage and causes, and visitor use; e) Alerting park resources staff when appropriate to discourage encroachment of nesting areas; f) Noting damage in site protection; g) Recording site conditions; h) Estimation of bird abundance and diversity (species counts over survey area)
