Section I – General Contractor will furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to pump, haul sewage and clean vaults as described herein. The vaults and septic tanks shall be pumped as needed and include emergency pumpings. Pumping shall occur no longer than two weeks from request for standard pumping and no longer than two hours from request for emergency pumping. Contractor must carry all necessary permits for pumping septic tanks within Del Norte County as well as hauling and disposing of sewage. Section II – Location Services provided by contractor in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park and various National Park Service locations within the Redwood National and State Park boundary of Del Norte County, California. All locations are listed on Exhibit B, Attachment 1 – Septic and Holding Tank Pumping Services. Section III – Term of Contract The term of this contract shall be March 1, 2026 or upon DGS-OLS approval, whichever is later, through February 28, 2029 or 36 months after DGS-OLS approval, whichever is later. Section IV – Pumping Services The States’ representative may decrease these services based on operational need. Locations will be on an “on call” basis. Section V – Vaults The vaults and septic tanks are serviced at a flat rate indicated on Bid Form marked, “Exhibit B, Attachment 1 – Septic and Holding Tank Pumping Services”. Section VI – Service Expectations a) Vaults and septic tanks must be pumped to the bottom. b) All objects, garbage and debris must be removed from holding tank each time the vaults and septic tanks are pumped. c) Any spills must be cleaned up and disinfected prior to leaving site. d) The contractor at contractor’s expense will repair damage to State Parks property or facilities caused by contractor in the course of performing services.
