A. All Services (Routine and Non-Routine) 1) Contractor shall provide Caltrans Contract Manager with a telephone number that will be answered by a live person Monday through Friday, during the hours 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM. An answering service or mechanical device, in lieu of a live person, will not be acceptable during these times. Contractor shall also provide a contact number for calls outside of the above normal business hours. 2) Contractor shall provide all services and a fully maintained and operated vacuum pump truck capable of septic tank pumping services for removal of solid and/or liquid waste from the specified tank(s) at the locations described in Section 3 above. 3) All effluent material pumped shall be removed from the vault containers and no material of any kind, including clear water, shall be discharged from the disposal truck during pumping operation. 4) Contractor shall rinse filters at time of scheduled pumping of the septic tanks. 5) Contractor shall maintain equipment of sufficient capacity and a sufficient number of pumping units to provide the services described in this Agreement. The equipment shall be capable of removing all liquids and solids when pumping the septic tanks. 6) Additionally, Contractor shall provide equipment and labor capable of pumping a minimum of 15,000 gallons in an eight (8) hour period and up to 150,000 gallons per year. More frequent pumping may be required during high use months, which are typically June through September, or when an overflow condition of the septic tank occurs. 7) All effluent material pumped shall be legally disposed of at a dumpsite designated by Contractor.
