Specifications include, but are not limited to: obtain an updated design for the existing computer room at Santa Barbara City Fire Station 1, located at 121 W Carrillo St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101, to meet industry standards and best practices for a small scale datacenter with proper air conditioning, fire suppression, electrical power, access control, and rack layout. The purpose of the project is to use the Fire Station 1 computer room as the primary datacenter for the City’s IT systems. The design may involve the removal of a dividing wall to meet the recommended specifications and/or best practices. After the design has been completed, a separate bid will be issued to perform the remodel, equipment purchase, and installation.
