The City of Santa Ana is seeking a qualified partner(s) to implement and operate various aspects of a wireless overlay network that leverages the City’s existing assets and broadband infrastructure. The selected respondent(s) will partner with the City, at minimum, to implement, operate, and maintain a robust wireless network in the Santa Ana Business Improvement District (District), but may expand into a broader partnership that extends broadband connectivity via City-owned conduit and assets to other areas of the City. The City aims to develop a sustainable, publicly accessible wireless network that improves connectivity for customers, merchants, and other stakeholders within the District, while simultaneously expanding high-speed broadband options for residents and businesses. The City is open to a variety of sustainable and scalable models to promote that goal. .
