The project includes installing a new standby diesel generator, automatic transfer switch and new main switchboard, including a utility (SMUD) connection and back feeding the existing main switchboard. Work also includes all associated electrical work, excavation, trenching, compaction, subgrade, concrete foundations, pads and walkways, asphalt, fencing, etc. and coordination for a complete project as detailed in the plans and specifications. The City has pre-purchased the new 2000 A electrical switchboard, 1200 A automatic transfer switch and the 300 kW standby generator which includes a sub-base fuel tank, radiator mounted load-bank and a sound attenuated enclosure. (Note: panel EM has not been pre-purchased and is the contractors responsibility to provide and install). Contractor will be required to pick up the electrical switchboard and generator from the City’s South Area Corporation Yard, located at 5730 24th Street, Sacramento, CA 95822. Contractor shall provide and use a crane with a licensed operator and rigger for lifting and setting the switchboard and the generator, as well as providing adequate transportation to move the equipment to the project site and set them in their locations.
