The work will consist of: .1 Furnishing of all labor, material, superintendence, power, light, tools, appliances, equipment, machinery, supplies, certifications, services, and other means of construction necessary or proper for performing and completing the Work. .2 Involves the procurement of pre-engineered canopy materials and other materials that are approved equal upon award; .3 Removal of existing gate, pavement striping, fencing and all other work as shown in the drawings; .4 Clearing and grubbing, saw cutting, and concrete removal as shown in the drawings; .5 Installation of canopy post drilled pier footings as shown in the drawings; .6 Installation of a Pre-Engineered Aluminum Canopy covering the walkway between the hospital and an existing MRI Trailer, and includes the provision of lighting and associated site improvements to facilitate canopy installation; .7 And the installation of new linear LED light fixtures and all other associated electrical work as shown in the drawings. .8 Contractor shall include coordination with the end user and ensure that all other scopes of work shown in the drawings and specifications are included. .9 All work shall comply with HCAI/ OSHPD requirements including the Deferred Approval Process. .10 Contractor to attach their Canopy installer qualifications in their bid submission. Contractor to refer to Section 10 73 16 for Installer Qualification Requirements. .11 The Contractor shall ensure that construction activities do not disrupt MRI Trailer operations. This includes manually installing the three drilled piers closest to the MRI Trailer and Patient Lift, implementing measures to protect and allow continuous functioning of the MRI Trailer throughout construction. .12 The Contractor is responsible for the safety of their workers, considering that the MRI has strong magnetic fields that can affect personal medical devices such as pacemakers. The contractor shall adhere to all MRI safety protocols, including maintaining required safety zones.
