Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor will work closely with CDFW staff, representatives of California Native American Tribes, and other interested parties to complete the Review of the SWAP 2015 by providing the following services: Task 1: Develop a communication, outreach, and engagement strategy to achieve the Review of the SWAP 2015 - The Contractor will develop a robust communications, outreach, and engagement strategy. This strategy must include the engagement of historically marginalized or otherwise underrepresented communities, the greater public, California’s Native American Tribes, agencies, and conservation partner representatives to provide input for the review of the SWAP 2015. The engagement strategy must be developed and fully implementable by the end of Fall 2024. The Contractor will hold between 7-14 engagement sessions, within a three-month period. At least one meeting is to be held within each of the boundaries of the seven SWAP provinces. Meetings/workshops may be virtual or in-person (locations TBD) for the targeted audiences. CDFW or the Contractor can provide the virtual forums (e.g., via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other platforms). The Contractor and Contract Manager will discuss which meetings may be conducted in person vs. virtually. Engagement with California Native American Tribes will be conducted on a separate trajectory from engagement with other members of the public, agencies, and conservation partners. It will entail facilitating one-on-one consultations (if requested by a Tribe) and at least two listening sessions (one during and one after work hours), within a 90-day period. The Contractor will assist CDFW with outreach and coordination with pre-identified Tribes, including office visits and in-person consultation with tribal leadership, as requested.
