Rather than manage individual monthly data plans, each assigned terminal will simply pull from the data pool whenever data transmission occurs. Offers flexibility and operational efficiency for scenarios where devices may be stored or ‘hibernated’ for periods of time, IoT or other low-bandwidth communications where the minimum monthly Starlink data plan is too expensive, fluctuations in monthly data use that would otherwise incur overage charges or frequent data plan adjustments, or for redundancy and failover scenarios where Starlink must remain available at all times (paying for a monthly data plan) but is otherwise not being used.
