Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment required to assist SMUD performdistribution and transmission design & construction industry benchmarking and trendanalysis/adaptation, paperless system and process changes, maintenance technology andprocedures, and safety procedures.Perform research and complete a review of industry benchmarks, trends and potential SMUDadaptations regarding transmission and distribution design & construction business models,including technology, competition, safety and maintenance, as well as process steps, tools,equipment or parts thereof. The Contractor will assist SMUD personnel to determine the mosteffective, safe and advantageous transmission and distribution design, construction, andmaintenance procedures and standards, including project handling to ensure the new proceduresfunction adequately, and integrated documents are completed and filed. Contractor will alsodetermine if design through construction processes and procedures can sustain improvedefficiencies and make recommendations.The Contractor shall determine the proper coordination of tasks, data collection, analysis,process development, etc. to maximize efficiency and safety at minimal cost. This includesassisting and providing appropriate method and tools, approved by the District, for creating andmaintaining standards and safety for transmission and distribution design, construction, andmaintenance methodologies and procedures, supplier specifications and requirements, trainingrequirements, SMUD equipment receipt requirements, and SMUD data tracking (GIS, SAP, andasset information)
