1. Clean Reservoir: a) Dewater and mop out the tank(s) as needed to complete the work. The City to drain the tank(s) to the lowest level possible. b) Provide and erect all scaffolding, ladders, and equipment necessary to perform the work. If any openings are required to accommodate scaffolding or other necessary equipment within the tank(s), the Contractor must submit to the City an approved plan and method for performing the cut and repair, as approved by a licensed California Structural Engineer. c) Thoroughly clean the interior and tank appurtenance by power washing, sweeping, scrubbing, or equally effective means to physically remove any built-up debris, corrosion, stain (iron and manganese), biofilm, and sediments accumulated in the tank. Clean to the satisfaction of the owner. Water, dirt, and foreign material accumulated in the cleaning process shall be discharged from the storage facility or otherwise removed. 2. Remove all equipment from the tank and perform final cleaning operations. 3. Other incidental work as required for the completion of the work.
