This project provides Skilled Labor for Waterway Cleanup Services throughout Santa Clara County to support Valley Water’s Unhoused Encampment Cleanup Program. The selected contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision needed to remove trash, debris, and hazardous materials from creeks, rivers, reservoirs, canals, and recharge facilities. Work may occur in remote or environmentally sensitive areas and will include minor vegetation trimming, waste disposal, and adherence to environmental and safety regulations. Contractor crews must be experienced in riparian habitat work and complete annual Valley Water Best Management Practices training. The contractor must respond to service requests within four hours and mobilize within two business days. All work must meet Valley Water standards and will be inspected for compliance and quality before payment. Payment is based on verified time, equipment use, and materials as approved by Valley Water. Valley Water shall award to a single vendor only for a one-year initial term with up to four (4) additional one-year options to extend services. Funding for this project is through a federal grant, see section 5 for additional requirements.
