Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intention of the City of Rochester to enter into contracts with competent and responsive contractors for plowing the City of Rochester's residential sidewalk routes in the manner described herein. The contractor must supply a suitable, well maintained vehicle in excellentoperating condition, as specified in Section 9, with an operator, for each routethatis awarded. Additionally, one (1) vehicle must be provided as back-up forevery three(3) routes awarded. All equipment intended for use in snowplowingCity sidewalks willbe subject to passing a minimum of two (2) inspectionsadministered by the City.1.3The City is contracting for two types of snowplowing services:1.3.1 The most frequently used service will be a full run. The contractor will bepaid the amount bid, per run, per route, for satisfactory completion of theroute. The average route is approximately 80,000 feet long. Each routeisshown on the maps in these specifications. The City reserves the righttoincrease or decrease the size of the route shown on each map by up tofive (5%)percent during this contract while still paying the price bid. TheCity reserves theright to treat each route independently and to orderservice on one or moreroutes at any given time
