Work shall include, but not be limited to flushing, hydro-vacuuming, and video camera filming and inspection of the underground sewer and storm drain pipelines on an as needed basis at SQRC. The Contractor shall follow all applicable laws and regulations, including State, Local and Federal. The Contractor shall provide sewer line flushing to hydraulically propel materials to the downstream manholes. Solids left in the sewer lines after flushing will be removed by vacuum truck and be emptied into the manhole located adjacent to the Institution’s sewage lift station. All material removed from the storm drain system shall be disposed of onsite at a location to be determined by the Institution Contract Liaison or designee. The Contractor shall utilize a self-contained high-pressure cleaner. The pressure cleaner must have a minimum 1,000-gallon capacity water tank, 500 feet of one (1) inch hydraulic hose with selected nozzles, and pumping capabilities up to 1,500 pounds per square inch, (PSI), at 55 gallons per minute (GPM). The Contractor’s equipment, including the high-pressure cleaner, hydraulic hose, nozzles, pump, and tank used to clean and siphon sewer lines and store wastes shall be in good operating condition and where appropriate, liquid tight to prevent spillage. The Contractor’s truck shall have a tank made specifically for liquid transportation. The Contractor shall be liable for any spillage that occurs inside or outside the Institution. Reporting and cleaning of such spillage shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor shall immediately report any spills to the Institutional escort or Institution Contract Liaison or designee assigned to them. The Contractor shall provide video inspection of both large diameter and small diameter pipes. Video equipment must consist of remote controlled vehicles for the inspection of large diameter pipes as well as cameras mounted on standard “sewer snake” type reels for the use in small diameter pipes. The Contractor shall provide the State an electronic copy of all inspections in the form of a flash drive, sim card or other type of medium.
