Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City is seeking security services as follows: City Hall - Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Community Center - Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 7:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Saturday 9:00am - 2:00pm After hours meetings and special events at the Facilities (some of these are routine and others are not). At a minimum, two security officers will be required on a daily basis, one to staff a security control station in City Hall and another to staff a post at the Community Center. Supplemental staffing may be required depending on the event. There may also be public and private events that require security services at other locations throughout the City. Patrol areas within the City Hall and Community Center properties. Staff City Hall Security Desk provide directions, respond to routine inquiries, may issue visitor badges and/or receive documents/deliveries. Watches for fire, trespassers, or other irregularities. Prevent and report acts of theft, vandalism and security breaches. Investigates suspicious persons or unusual incidents. Report all discrepancies and unsafe conditions for appropriate action. Check the security of the building, its materials, equipment, and perimeter fences. Respond to complaints and take appropriate action. Detain persons who violate laws, rules and regulations for police authorities. Direct passenger and vehicular traffic within the City Hall property and nearby parking areas. Maintain surveillance of demonstrations, strikes, protests, sit-ins, public rallies, marches, meetings, and other gatherings on City facilities. Ensure firefighting equipment, fire lanes, doors and traffic lanes are not blocked by people or equipment. Supervise evacuation procedures when directed. Report all unusual incidents, irregular activities, events, or property damage. Prepare reports, maintain required logs, and records provide copies of reports to City staff. Respond to emergencies, e.g., render first aid and performs other activities to prevent injury or protect life and property. Coordinate with all security officers contracted by City. Operate radios, computers, and telephones, provided by both the CONTRACTOR and the City, to facilitate communications with City management, City operations, tenants, and public safety agencies, as required. As required, perform access control tasks including but not limited to vehicle and personal inspection and screening at access control points to deter and prevent unauthorized access and introduction of unauthorized items and materials into regulated security areas on City property. At the end of a public or private event, verify that all persons have cleared the building and all perimeter doors are locked and building is secure. Escort Civic Center staff to vehicles upon closing of buildings.
