Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Security at the Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) is typically provided during daytime hours by the SCLA staff. Nighttime security is contracted to a qualified vendor (hereafter referred to as “Security Firm”) via a specific service contract. This solicitation seeks a reasonably priced, qualified Security Firm that is able to meet the physical security needs of the SCLA. The SCLA is comprised of two distinct and separate components, the “off airport” and the “on airport” sides. The “on airport” component is generally the property on the north side of Phantom West, whereas the “off airport” component is everything on the south side of Phantom West, including the old, dilapidated Housing Area. The central part of the “on airport” component is the Airport Operations Area, which entails the fenced airfield. Today the airport is a growing and thriving center of activity with many new aviation and non-aviation business activities and facilities. The growing level of activity has increased the need for diligent service and vigilance in the area of security. In order to service its existing customers and provide for the future of development at Southern California Logistics Airport, it is imperative that the SCLA and Security Firm staff provide an environment that is “user friendly” while at the same time allowing for a comfortable level of security.
