To prepare for the model operation and analysis for SCAG’s 2028 RTP/SCS, the primary objective of this project is to improve and update SCAG Regional Travel Demand Model (SCAG ABM) and conduct model validation process to year 2024. The model should be suitable for generating performance indicators, conformity analysis, and other RTP/SCS strategies such as pricing, land use and transit. The selected consultant must demonstrate strong expertise and proven experience in working on activity-based travel demand models for large MPOs or transportation agencies. This includes proficiency in analyzing household travel surveys, designing model structure, and conducting model estimation and validation. Consultant’s main tasks include but are not limited to processing and analyzing travel survey data, conducting model estimation, calibration and validation, implementing model and software update, supporting peer review and model operation. Consultant shall work closely with SCAG modeling staff. SCAG staff will play a significant role in supporting model testing, data analysis, and model operation.
