Contractor shall remove four (4) existing commercial steel roll-up door assemblies and replace with four (4) new commercial-grade steel roll-up door assemblies with new electronic monitored reversing edge safety system of correct size and design for new doors. New doors shall be exact or equivalent to the existing doors, see Attachment A, Pictures. Equivalence will be determined by Caltrans Contract Manager. A. Contractor shall perform field measurements for all steps below prior to installation. B. Contractor shall provide their own personal lift equipment. C. Contractor shall remove and legally dispose of all existing doors and operators. D. Contractor shall furnish, deliver, and install four (4) new commercial-grade steel roll-up doors, complete with all related hardware with the following specifications: 1) Weld Shop Location Two (2) 14 feet ½ inch tall by 14 feet 2 ¼ inches wide and 2 ¼ inches thick [14’ ½” Height (H) x 14’2 ¼” Width (W) x 2 ¼” Depth (D)] insulated roll-up doors, no windows. 2) Wash Rack Location a. Two (2) 14 feet 1 inch tall by 17 feet 2 inches wide and 2 inches thick (14’1” H x 17’2” W x 2” D) roll-up doors with windows. b. Each door shall have five (5) rectangular vents measuring 12” H x 24” W. c. Each door shall have five (5) oval windows measuring 9” H x 24” W. 3) Each door shall have 24-gauge minimum thickness insulated steel sections with baked on polyester or epoxy prime and finish coats, applied to interior and exterior faces. Finish color shall be Dunn-Edwards Paint DE 5216, Autumn Umber / Evershield Semi-Gloss, or equivalent. 4) Each door shall have a LiftMaster / H75 Operator, or equivalent that is approved by Caltrans Contract Manager, utilizing existing wiring. 5) Each door assembly shall have an inside bolt and slide lock for security. 6) Each door assembly shall have a weather strip on the bottom of the door for proper seal. 7) Each door assembly shall have pneumatic safety reversing strip edges or an electronic monitored reversing edge system. 8) The commercial-grade roll-up door assemblies shall be provided as a complete unit produced by a single manufacturer, including frames, sections, bracket guides, tracks, counterbalance mechanisms, hardware, operators, and installation accessories, to suit opening and head room. E. Contractor shall install new roll-up doors, tracks, and operating equipment, complete with necessary hardware, anchors, inserts, and equipment supports, in accordance with manufacturer’s installation instructions.
