The County is soliciting sealed proposals from highly qualified and experienced firms (hereinafter referred to as “firm” or “Proposer”) to provide project-specific right of way services for the US 50 / Ponderosa Road Interchange - Durock Road Realignment and the US 50 / Ponderosa Road Interchange - North Shingle Road Realignment, as required for the County’s Department of Transportation. The US 50 / Ponderosa Road Interchange - Durock Road Realignment will realign approximately one-fourth (¼) mile of Durock Road to South Shingle Road/ Sunset Lane and widen the eastbound off-ramp. The US 50 / Ponderosa Road Interchange - North Shingle Road Realignment will realign approximately one-fourth (¼) mile of North Shingle Road to approximately six hundred feet (600 ft.) north on Ponderosa Road, including the realignment of the westbound off-ramp and westbound on-ramp loop to align with Wild Chaparral Drive. Proposals must be consistent with applicable prevailing wage requirements. It is anticipated that this RFP will result in the award of one (1) agreement with the top-ranked Proposer for a three-year period. Proposals should demonstrate the firms’ (1) complete knowledge of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) right of way policies and procedures, (2) experience in providing professional right of way support services (experience with California local governments is desirable), and (3) experience with Caltrans Local Assistance policy and procedures for projects with federal and state funding and right of way support. This RFP includes a description of the evaluation and selection process, scope of work, proposal requirements, and insurance requirements.
