The City of Richmond (“City”) is seeking proposals from health care providers to perform physical examinations, tests, and immunizations to Richmond Fire Department (“Department”) members who are certified as hazardous materials specialists/technicians, as well as other department personnel, and firefighter trainee candidates. The medical evaluations can be performed by licensed physicians – Board Certified or Board Eligible – and experienced in the field of Occupational Medicine, or by registered Nurse Practitioners supervised by a licensed physician in the Occupational Medicine Department as approved by the Department. Medical evaluations shall meet the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and requirements. The anticipated term of this contract will be for a period of three (3) years and two (2) one-year option to extend by means of a mutual agreement from both parties.
