Contractor shall upgrade, repair, and remodel one (1) men's restroom and one (1) women's restroom located in the locker room, including the shower areas. Additionally, one (1) smaller men's restroom, one (1) smaller women's restroom, and one (1) men’s shower room. Refer to Attachment 5, Floor Plans, for the location of restrooms. Refer to Attachment 4, Site Photos, for reference. There is no provision for additional work or unforeseen items. Contractor shall obtain written approval from Caltrans Contract Manager prior to the purchase and/or installation of any equivalent product(s). To request approval, Contractor shall submit a substitution request including specification sheet(s) for the proposed equivalent(s). A. Women’s Locker Room Restroom 1) Contractor shall remove the existing flooring and install new 16” x 16” slip-resistant porcelain tile in the restroom and shower areas. The tile color shall be approved in writing by Caltrans Contract Manager. 2) Contractor shall remove existing wall tiles and install new 12” x 24” wall tiles in the restroom and shower areas. The tile color shall be approved in writing by Caltrans Contract Manager. For exact dimensions and layout, refer Attachment 5, Floor Plans. 3) Contractor shall remove and legally dispose of all items that are being replaced, except for items specifically identified in this Scope of Work as requiring retention or reinstallation. 4) Contractor shall remove the existing countertop and sinks and install a new countertop of the same size with three (3) new sinks from Kohler or an equivalent mounted in it. The desired color of the countertop is dark and shall be approved in writing by Caltrans Contract Manager. In addition, Contractor shall remove one (1) existing wall-mounted Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) sink and replace it with a new ADA-compliant sink from Kohler or an equivalent. 5) Contractor shall remove the existing four (4) faucets and install four (4) new chrome touchless faucets by Moen company or equivalent. Contractor shall retain the existing faucets and shall not discard them. All removed faucets shall be delivered to the Maintenance Supervisor for storage. 6) Contractor shall remove three (3) existing touchless soap dispensers, and the two (2) existing touchless paper towel dispensers during construction and reinstall them upon completion. 7) Contractor shall remove three (3) existing wall-mounted paper towel dispenser and mirror combinations and install three (3) new wall-mounted mirrors over the sinks, sized to cover the areas of the existing paper towel dispensers and mirrors, refer to Attachment 3, Item A. In addition, Contractor shall replace one (1) existing wall-mounted ADA mirror with a new ADA-compliant mirror of the same size. 8) Contractor shall remove two (2) existing wall-mounted trash cans during construction and reinstall them upon completion. 9) Contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing wall-mounted feminine hygiene product dispenser and install a new one. 10) Contractor shall remove the existing toilet partition panels and doors for four (4) toilets and install new ones for all four (4) toilets. New partitions shall be from Bradley company or equivalent. 11) Contractor shall remove the existing four (4) wall mounted toilets and install new ones from Kohler company or equivalent. 12) Contractor shall remove the existing toilet tissue dispensers and wall-mounted toilet seat cover dispensers during construction and reinstall them upon completion.
