The County has procured multiple ResQmax line-throwing rescue devices, to enhance the safety and effectiveness of first responders at the Tunitas Creek Beach location. The ResQmax is a non-pyrotechnic, pneumatic line-deployment system designed for rapid delivery of rescue lines, flotation slings, or other specialized payloads over significant distances. These devices are intended to improve the County’s ability to perform surf rescues, reach distressed swimmers, establish lifelines, and support technical rescue operations where traditional approaches may be difficult or unsafe. Effective use of the ResQmax system requires specialized instruction, technical familiarity, and hands-on operational practice. The County is therefore seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive training for personnel who will deploy the ResQmax devices.
