In accordance with the foregoing specifications, the scope of work includes emergency demolition of structures, removal of foundations, flatwork, demolition debris, backfill/compaction of foundation area, and removal of trees, weeds, etc., leaving a clean and level vacant lot. Demolish and remove existing substandard building(s) including all debris, concrete foundations, under floor areas, and flatwork, and re-grade to match existing surrounding lot elevation. Cap off sewer connection in an approved manner. Remove all basement walls and floor, fill and compact basement area (Soils Engineer compaction test report required) (if applicable). Remove all landscaping plants including trees (except city trees in park strip or right of way), saplings, bushes and stumps from the property, except when identified. If any trees are identified to remain, the limbs of such trees shall be trimmed to a minimum height of ten (10) feet above the ground. The finished surface shall be firm, level, smooth, and left in a clean condition. The top six inches (6”) of soil shall be free from all organic material, trash, debris, rocks, lumps, broken concrete, glass, paving material or other objectionable material. Removal of debris may include disposal of hazardous materials such as lead-based paint and asbestos containing materials in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations as specified by the City’s Hazardous Materials Consultant.
