Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City has selected its Central Library located at 1000 Avocado Avenue as the site to receive a building access control system replacement. This Library entered service in 1994.A major expansion was added to the original building’s northside in 2013. Whereas the 2013 addition does not need to be improved at this time, the City desires to replace the 1994 manual lock-and-key hardware currently existing along the building’s ground floor perimeter at six (6) ingress/egress points with an electronic control system.Professional design firms with building access control systems experience are invited to submit their qualifications for consideration. The SOQ, at a minimum, shall include the following pertinent information:• The firm’s experience in the designing and permitting of similar projects in the Southern California Region (Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego, and Imperial Counties).• The listed projects shall have been completed within the last five (5) years.• A minimum of three (3) completed projects with most, if not all, of the desired access control system features listed under “THE PROJECT” Section above is desirable.• Additional projects that are currently under construction may be listed.• The project narratives/descriptions shall be limited to a total of no more than thirty (30) pages for all projects, single-sided and with = 11 font size.• The project narratives/descriptions shall include a brief listing of the make and model of the major hardware and software installed so that the City can determine whether same can be integrated into its existing networks.• Project personnel/reference information as well as photographs of the installations are excluded from the 30-page narratives/descriptions limit, but please not be excessive.• Each project listed shall include a final construction cost so as to provide the City with a sense of its available budget.• DO NOT submit any consultant fee schedule(s).
