Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Scope of Work Duties and schedules will be separated by two posts: Facilities Post which will consist of all duties at the BBB Yard, the GoSaMo Center, and adjacent areas, and the Transit Safety Officer (TSO) Post, which will consist of all duties pertaining security onboard buses, service area patrols, and bus stop patrols. General performance criteria shall include, but not be limited to, providing guard services to: A. Patrol the various buildings and parking lots at BBB facilities to provide a visible presence to discourage theft, vandalism, trespassing, or any criminal or unauthorized activity. B. Patrol the exterior perimeter of BBB facilities, investigate unusual or suspicious conditions and report activity to SMPD. C. Ride onboard BBB buses, respond to disturbances, conduct fare enforcement activities, assist the public and BBB staff. D. Inspect bus stops and shelters for security challenges and provide foot patrols as assigned. E. Recognize and respond to security threats. F. Serve as a uniformed presence to deter disturbances, vandalism, theft, trespassing, or any other criminal activity. G. Monitor employee parking areas and escorting employees as requested. H. Monitor electronic security equipment and cameras. I. Notify Law Enforcement of suspicious activities or loitering at the BBB Facilities, exterior perimeters and adjacent public thoroughfares, and of disturbances on buses.
