Specifications include, but are not limited to: The security officer functioning as the on-duty Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) for passenger screening (as required by TSA) shall at all times be in a position within the passenger screening point during screening activities and will respond immediately when summoned by either the Transportation Security Administration or airline personnel and respond within ten (10) minutes during non-passenger screening activities. Further, LEOs will adhere to the following outline of duties connected with this function: A. Periodically ensure that personnel and vehicle gates which provide access to the Air Operations Area (AOA) or designated security areas are secured. B. LEOs shall at periodic and unannounced times enter the terminal building passenger hold-room and shall investigate any activity which in their judgment is suspicious. LEOs shall make every reasonable effort to contact the Airport Administration, TSA supervisor and/or air carrier manager/personnel regarding any activity judged to be suspicious or to warrant investigation.
