The StreetsLA is interested in obtaining the services of a consulting engineering firm (Consultant) to provide bid package preparation and engineering support during the Bid and Award phase. Engineering support shall be in accordance with the latest California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and/or the City standard policies, procedures, and requirements. The areas of consultant services includes, without limitation to the following: • Update the current design plans and specifications to reflect scope changes as directed by the StreetsLA and prepare additional plans and specifications as required by the scope changes • Constructability review of construction bid documents package, including PS&E, address deficiencies, and flaws from construction documents • Support during the bid and award phase including, but are not limited to, reviewing and providing responses to bidder inquiries, preparing and issuing addenda including plans clarifications, assisting in preparing reports, renderings, and presentations • Drafting services (AutoCAD and Civil 3D) • Traffic and Worksite Control Design Services consisting of the following, but not limited to: o Traffic Staging Requirements o Construction Phasing and Staging ● Assisting StreetsLA staff during all construction bid advertising and award processes and attend pre-bid meetings ● Reviewing and providing responses to bidder inquiries ● Preparing and issuing addenda including any plan clarifications ● Prepare and update the current cost estimate based on the revised scope
