Specifications include, but are not limited to: In an effort to strengthen cybersecurity for Los Angeles infrastructure, businesses, and residents, the City of Los Angeles (“City”), through the Mayor’s Office of Public Safety (“Mayor’s Office”), seeks a Regional Cyber Services Advisor (“Advisor”) to work as a lead threat intelligence analyst and coordinator for the City’s cyber defense initiatives. The Advisor will work with the region’s private, state, local, and federal stakeholders. This position will report to the Mayor's Office Policy Director for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Defense and work in a joint role, supporting the Joint Regional Intelligence Center (JRIC), Los Angeles Cyber Lab, Regional Cyber Center (RCC), and the City of Los Angeles, and will also work alongside other nonprofit, state, local, and federal partners. The Advisor’s specific duties will include, but are not limited to: ● Reporting to and assisting the City’s Integrated Security Operation Center (ISOC); ● Liaising between the ISOC, Regional Cyber Center, and JRIC; ● Leading coordination for City of Los Angeles and Regional Cyber Center initiatives; ● Managing the City’s Threat Intelligence Sharing Platform (TISP), including supporting partner onboarding efforts creating vetted IOC feed within the platform, combining and analyzing TISP IOCs with other cyber threat sources to create written intelligence products for internal and external dissemination; ● Assisting the JRIC Cyber program, including drafting and reviewing joint cyber regional cyber advisories and presenting on stakeholders calls and regional briefings; ● Developing presentations, dashboards, visualizations, and documentation to identify threats, insights, and trends, and communicating insights with stakeholders; ● Coordinating and/or presenting on a monthly Joint Cyber Threat Brief and other City and regional stakeholder webinars; ● Maintaining Regional Cyber Center mailing list and sending out daily threat reports and other products; and ● Coordinating Cybersecurity Initiatives and projects.
