Modification Services Modification services may be completed at any time prior to September 30, 2025, and shall consist of the following services to refrigeration trailers identified as H, I, and J on Attachment 1: 1. Purchase of three (3) 110-gallon fuel tanks (Thermo King Part Number 121022 or equivalent) and all other items required to complete the installation. 2. Purchase of three (3) insulated aluminum-clad roll-up doors (Whiting ColdSAVERTM or equivalent) with associated door tracks, mounting hardware, counterbalance springs, winding plugs, cable drums, cables, pins, seals, handles, and any other parts or supplies required to complete the installation. 3. Removal of existing 55-gallon fuel tanks. 4. Relocation of inner tank mounting brackets to accommodate 110-gallon fuel tanks. (Note: Fuel tanks will have been drained by CDFA, in advance of work commencing.) Removal of fuel tank gauges from 55-gallon tanks and installation of same on 110-gallon tanks. Installation of 110-gallon tanks which may require installation of new or extension of existing fuel lines and wiring. 5. Removal of existing swing doors and door hinges. 6. Fabrication and installation of stainless-steel framework to accommodate roll-up doors. 7. Installation of roll-up doors. 8. Installation of safety escape latches on roll-up doors. 9. Return existing equipment (trailer skirts, fuel tanks, fuel tank mounts, and swing doors) to CDFA upon removal. If Contractor intends to install tanks other than Thermo King Part Number 121022 or doors other than Whiting ColdSAVERTM, Contractor shall provide specifications for the proposed equipment to CDFA, in advance of work commencing. Modification work may be completed either on or offsite. The trailers requiring modification are in new condition and deemed roadworthy.
