The purpose of this project is to recycle, depollute, dismantle, and dispose of abandoned passenger, commercial, and recreational vehicles, vessels, and other equipment that have been confiscated from impacted City Council districts. This effort will help create additional space in the City’s Tow Yard to accommodate regular inventory associated with lien sales and daily towing and storage operations. The City seeks to secure a qualified contractor capable of storing abandoned vehicles and equipment, managing their dismantling and recycling, and safely disposing of wastewater and other hazardous materials. Ultimately, this initiative aims to address City Council districts’ concerns while promoting a cleaner, safer environment for both employees and the community.
