Specifications include, but are not limited to: The goal of the Community Recidivism Reduction Project is to provide services that are designed to enable persons, to whom the services are provided, to refrain from engaging in crime, reconnect with their family members, and contribute to their communities. It is expected that grant recipients have a demonstrated history of providing services to individuals who have been released from state prison, county jail or a juvenile detention facility and are under the supervision of the Probation Department; or any other person deemed at risk of becoming involved in criminal activities. . The Community Recidivism Reduction Fund is intended to fund community recidivism and crime reduction services, which may include, but are not limited to, delinquency prevention, homelessness prevention and reentry services, pursuant to California Penal Code Section 1233.10(a). These services may include any or all of the following: Self-help groups. Individual or group assistance with basic life skills. Mentoring programs. Academic and educational services, including, but not limited to, services to enable the recipient to earn his or her high school diploma. Job training skills and employment.
