Specifications include, but are not limited to: The San Diego Housing Commission (hereinafter referred to as the "COMMISSION") was created in 1979 by City CouncilOrdinance No. 12515 to act as a Housing COMMISSION pursuant to the Housing Authority Law of the State of California.The COMMISSION is responsible for development of affordable housing, implementation of financing to promoteaffordable housing, management of publicly-owned or assisted housing developments, operation of rent subsidyprograms, rehabilitation of existing housing stock and advising the Housing Authority with respect to housing matters forthe City of San Diego. The Housing COMMISSION staff is culturally diverse and provides bilingual services in severallanguages to the clients served.
