Scope of Work/Services Services will include but not necessarily be limited to design, project management, coordination with design professionals; building contractors, and construction professionals hired by the District to undertake construction. All services will be performed per the District’s standard Agreement for On- going Architectural Services. The objective of the project(s) is to create plans and design to replace the softball field. The project will include information and findings of the evaluations, and include pertinent background information for the eligible residential corridors adjacent to El Camino College campus. Project Title: Softball Field Replacement Project Location: El Camino College, 16007 Crenshaw Blvd, Torrance, CA 90506 I.Project Overview The purpose of this project is to remove and replace the existing natural grass softball field with a new synthetic turf field designed to meet 2025 JCNCAA standards, along with supporting infrastructure. Work includes full replacement of the field base and drainage, reclaimed water system extension, installation of a new scoreboard and sound system, and improvements to the surrounding site areas. The selected A/E firm shall provide full design and construction administration services. II.Scope of Work – A/E Services 1.General A/E Responsibilities The A/E firm shall provide full professional design and construction administration services, including: •Site investigation and existing condition assessment •Schematic design, design development, and construction documents •Project to be submitted to DSA for review •Cost estimating at end of CD phase •Bid support •Construction administration (submittals, RFIs, field observations, punch lists, etc.) •Project closeout, including record documents 2.Design Services Scope 2.1 Demolition & Site Preparation •Document and assess existing conditions Architectural Design Of Softball Field Replacement (“Project”) •Develop demolition plans for: oNatural grass field and turf systems oExisting base materials and unsuitable subgrade oOutdated irrigation and utility lines oExisting features as required for surrounding area improvements 2.2 Synthetic Turf Field Design •Provide full design of a synthetic turf softball field per 2025 JCNCAA specifications, including: oLayout, dimensions, and surfacing oEngineered base and drainage layers oField crown, slope, and drainage plan 2.3 Field Base and Drainage •Geotechnical coordination for subgrade design •Engineered stone base layers for structural and drainage performance •Design complete underground storm drainage system to accommodate surface runoff 2.4 Reclaimed Water System •Coordinate and design the extension of the reclaimed water piping system •Ensure system integration with existing irrigation or future campus plans 2.5 Electrical and Sound Infrastructure •Design power and data systems to support: oNew scoreboard (mounting, controls, electrical) oNew loudspeaker/PA system with coverage for entire field and spectator zones •Cabling pathways, conduits, and system interfaces with existing infrastructure 2.6 Surrounding Area Improvements The A/E firm shall design improvements to the areas surrounding the field, including but not limited to: 2.6.1 Hardscape and Pedestrian Areas •New or refurbished concrete/asphalt walkways for ADA compliance and enhanced circulation •Dugout access paths and viewing area access upgrades 2.6.2 Landscaping and Irrigation •Landscape design for areas adjacent to the field to enhance aesthetics and erosion control •Integration of irrigation systems using reclaimed water where applicable 2.6.3 Site Lighting Architectural Design Of Softball Field Replacement (“Project”) •Evaluate adequacy of existing site lighting and recommend improvements (if lighting upgrades are in scope) •Coordination of lighting with security and game play (if applicable) 2.6.4 Seating and Spectator Areas •Upgrades or additions to
