Panel and Rails Information (to be verified by contractor) 1. Approximate s.f. of aluminum panels per bay: 26 l.f. x 4 l.f. = 104 s.f. 2. Approximate s.f. of panels total: 2,704 3. Approximate s.f. vinyl: 2,704 4. Total Bays to receive panels: 26 5. Approximate l.f. aluminum mounting rails per bay: 26 l.f. X2 + 4 l.f. X 2= 60 l.f. 6. Total l.f. mounting rails: 1,560 Tasks 1. Secure any necessary encroachment permits from the City of Sacramento, which may require preparation of traffic management plan for 9th St and 10th St and a pedestrian detour plan. 2. Certain trees will be trimmed by the painting contractor to make room for the selective painting that will happen before panels are to be mounted. If needed to make room for panels mounting, work with the Capitol Area Development Authority and the Department of General Services to secure City of Sacramento tree trimming permit as needed and trim trees, once painting is completed. We highly encourage your to do your work without the need for tree trimming. At this time, it does not appear to CADA staff that trees will need to be trimmed to make room for mounting, but contractor must verify this in the proposal. 3. Secure parking permits as needed. 4. Secure RT Track Warrant, if required.1 The zone where the tracks are close to the sidewalk is limited to a small length of the sidewalk at the west end of the 900 block only. To avoid the need for an RT track warrant, we suggest you use a narrower lift, if necessary. 5. Source the 1/8” aluminum panels, mounting rails and hardware. 6. Core/cut panels as needed to fit over protruding pipe ends and around electrical conduits, brackets and other items. Contractor to verify these special circumstances through visual inspection and account for them in the production process. These appear to be minimal. 7. Print artwork on vinyl sheets, using graphics files and color codes to be provided by CADA. Vinyl must remain color-fast for a minimum of 7 years, using a higher-quality warrantied vinyl, such as from 3M or a similar manufacturer. Prepare a sample for CADA and Eames family inspection prior to continuing. 8. Mount vinyl sheets on the aluminum panels, as specified in Exhibit A.1, Ray Eames Totem Panels Installation - Building Elevations and Details and secure CADA inspection and approval before transporting them to the site. 9. Mobilize. 10. Transport panels to site. 11. Prep for installation.
