Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Pomona (“City”) is seeking proposals (“Proposals”) from qualified firms (“Proposers”) to provide a ransomware containment software or software as a service (SaaS). The City today employs various technologies to protect its digital infrastructure and assets through traditional means such as, but not limited to, antivirus software, endpoint protections, log monitoring, CDN (Content Delivery Network), and firewalls that prevent malicious activity. The City wishes to strengthen its cybersecurity protection even further by incorporating ransomware containment technology to reduce the spread of ransomware when breached. The City of Pomona’s objective is to drastically reduce damage to digital infrastructure and assets by ransomware. The focus then is not ransomware prevention but ransomware containment. The end-result is that should the City be a victim of ransomware, the recovery will be limited to file-system level restoration as opposed to infrastructure (i.e. files instead of entire servers or virtual machines).
